Eton School Mexico places great importance on our students’ overall well-being. This is why yoga is among the many activities we provide, as its practice helps balance, harmonize, and strengthen physical, mental, social and emotional skills.
Through yoga poses, students can explore their physical abilities in a safe and controlled environment, fostering a healthy relationship with their body from an early age while improving flexibility, balance, and strength.
Yoga also promotes concentration, self-confidence, self-control, and helps students understand the value of calmness and reflection.
Additionally, yoga allows them to manage emotions more effectively, which significantly reduces stress, anxiety, and frustration. Breathing techniques and meditation, as well as yoga postures, directly affect the spine and naturally induce a calming effect on the nerves.
On a social level, yoga encourages empathy and respect towards others. Practicing in groups teaches students to be patient and help one another, creating a generous and peaceful environment.
All these skills are essential in a school environment and life in general.
